meatball spaghettiThis is a rather free-style recipe..I think it is quick and easy if you have the meatballs ready from freezer!

Note 1:This is not an authentic arrabbiata sauce, but  just a normal tomato sauce with a hint of spiciness by adding some cayenne powder to the sauce!

Meatballs:

  1. Beef and pork minced mix.
  2. Salt and pepper
  3. Any spices of your choice!
  4. Cayenne powder

Mix everything together and make it into meatballs.  Seal each meatball in a pan with olive oil, partially cooked the meatballs for 5 minutes and set it aside for later. (After this stage, you can freeze the meatballs for future use)

Spicy Tomato Sauce:

  1. Tinned chopped tomatoes
  2. Onion
  3. Leeks
  4. Salt and pepper
  5. Dried thyme
  6. Cayenne powder
  7. Olive oil

Add chopped onion and sliced leeks to a pot with olive oil, cook gently for few minutes until the vegetable is soft. Add salt, pepper and thyme, stir everything for a few minutes.

Add the meatballs and mix it well with the vegetable and leave it to cook for few minutes.

Add the chopped tomato sauce and cook for at least 5 mins under medium heat. Season to taste.

Stir the sauce to your cooked spaghetti (preferably al dente) and cook under low heat for few minutes.

There you go! ready to eat!

Note: Really, there is no need to follow the steps by step guide! Just do it as you like! mess it up!
