Chicken Burger

June 11, 2010

While experimenting with the different ingredients for this chicken burger mix, I found that the fragrance of the chilli powder together with cucumber produce a rather pleasant scent; The cool freshness of the cucumber and the hotness of the chilli powder.

So to flavour the chicken burgers, I thought why not add the cucumber and chilly powder in the mix to see how it would taste like! The result, rather nice!

Ingredients: (make a generous 6 burgers)

  1. 2 Chicken breasts (cut to chunks)
  2. 1/4 of a cucumber (cut to chunks)
  3. 2 small (ish) carrots (cut to chunks)
  4. Few cloves of garlics
  5. 1 Onion (sliced)
  6. Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  7. 1 tbsp Chilli powder
  8. 1 tbsp corn starch
  9. 1 tbsp Olive oil
  10. 1 egg

Add chicken pieces, onion, carrots, cucumber and garlic in a blender. Blend until reasonably smooth (I think a bit of chunks add texture to the burger)

Season the blended meat with the Olive oil, egg, chilli powder, corn starch, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Fry the burger in hot oil until just cooked. The burger should be quite tender. Serve hot with fresh vegetable…yummm…
